Cranio Sacral Massage
Cranio-sacral therapy is designed to improve the functioning of the central nervous system through the application of very gentle pressure. This therapy is thought to eliminate the negative effects of stress, as well as provide relief for a wide range of medical problems including migraine headaches, chronic neck and back pain, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries and chronic fatigue.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage penetrates into the body’s musculature to unlock deep areas of chronic muscle tension. Our therapists use skillful hand movements and focus on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia, which are the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints. Benefits of this technique include reducing inflammation and helping to eliminate scar tissue. Clients are encouraged to drink plenty of water following the treatment to assist with the elimination of internal toxins released by the muscles affected during the massage.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is a deeply soothing, and relaxing massage that uses heated stones to soften the muscle tissue. This process increases the effect of your massage on the deeper muscle layers.
Neuromuscular Therapy NMT
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a hands-on deep tissue muscular therapy for relieving pain, stiffness and inflammation from soft tissue throughout the body. Our therapist applies static pressure manually to reduce knots, trigger points, tightness and inflammation. This therapy increases the blood circulation and lymph flow throughout the muscular system by micro-stretching the muscles and tendons. The overall result is reduced inflammation and tenderness, improved strength and endurance and deeper sleep.
Sports Massage is geared toward amateur and world class athletes. This technique is specific to the athlete’s sport of choice with a focus on a trouble area. These specifically designed massages have proven to be effective in many ways such as promoting flexibility, removing fatigue, improving endurance, enhancing pre-event preparation and helping to prevent injuries.
The Swedish Massage is one of ALSA Medspa’s most popular massages. Our licensed massage therapists use massage oils to stimulate and soothe the muscles while gliding over the entire body. We use firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation and ease muscle tension.
